Day 2 (22/5)

We are able to wake up a bit late as it was on our own...
A "tuk tuk" was hired for 200 bhat after our breakfast to take 3 of us round the town for about 6 hours ( the "tuk tuk" do actually waited for us after dropping us at a point) ...
It sounds cheap... as it's only RM20 for 3 for 6 hours yet waiting for you at every spot...
you can take your own sweet time
But later we found out that it cost only about 50 or 60 bhat which is about RM5 or RM6 for the same service

Damn kena con!!!

The first point that the "tuk tuk" driver brought us to was the so called Floating Market
We need to hire a boat in order to get there which cost 3 of us 1800 bhat (RM180)
and to our disappointment it's not the floating market that we normally see in photo or TV
The one that we normally saw was located at a place which took us 2 hours drive to reach there
Damn kena con again!!!

The rest of the spot were OK but the enterence fees is on our own expenses of course...

At the end of the trip ( anyhow he did not finish the journey as promised earlier on), yet we gave him 100 bhat for tips .
Damn, how stupid are we....

Oh ya, and the "tuk tuk" driver loves to bring tourist to the jewellery export centre in order to get some free gasoline for their "tuk tuk"...
It's tiring whenever they say that we need to go to that place...

Day 3 (23/5/08)

After being conned earlier on, we decided to walk to the temples that were left out during the "tuk tuk" ride as it is within walking distance
Depending solely on the tourist map we went to the National Museum which is the largest in South East Asia and Wat Mahathat

Met with a friendly lady from Chiang Mai who claim herself to be a doctor who came for conference over here...
That's when she recommended us to go to the silk centre and the jewellery export centre(again!!!)

Then to the TAT company to ask for the price to the floating market....( actually kena con again ) the only thing that we are smart enough was we decided not to buy the Calypso ticket at the TAT company....
they wanted to sell 800 bhat while we can get it for 450 bhat at place near our guest house

Wanted to go to the Grand Palace but it was closed at 3.30pm.. Damn...

so we went to the Wat Po instead ( sleeping buddha)

Really a place for a King

Yeah... went for a trip with them again...
To Pangkor Island this time.... on the 17 - 19 of may
Was rushing for my construction model the night before in order for me to be in the trip...
Damn tiring...

Basically that's what what happens ...

car... ferry... island and the place....

Then after that went for a boat trip which cost us RM20 each person to take us round the island and a 20mins snookerling

Erm... not to say a marvellous one but reasonable... I guess...

Yeah and we rented 4 motorcycle as we have 8 person on the trip... 4 boys and 4 gals

oh... it's easily to pair up... haha

sounds a bit like pairing up for relationship purpose... :P

We discovered 1 creepy spot on the island when we were riding the motocycles round the island..

It was a road beside the cemetery area... there were huge tree along that particular stretch of road, the leaves overlap each other perfectly without leaving any space for the sunlight to squeeze in ...

The place was so cold that you might have thought of the air conditioner that you have in your house.

You will only feel cold on that spot

Since Kaoru is no longer there so I've decided to give him a shot and his skill turn out to be not bad
what turned out is what I like espeacially the bouncing effect and not too layered feel of it
although it might be expensive but I think it's worth it.

Was forced to browse through the net on Machu Picchu site as it is related to our Site Planning subject...
I was incredibly amazed by what I've found on the net...

It was such as an amazing sacred place to live in..
surrounded by the green in a highland that sits in between the mountains with some 'cloud'
It's really heaven on earth to me
and I believe there are much more to be discovered in such a place
Oh~~ how I wish I could spent a few days there...

Here is some brief about Machu Piccu:

A long lost city discovered by Yale archeologist Hiram Bingham in 1911
It was built by the Incas during the Incas civilization
A small but extraordinary city invisible from below and completely self-contained surrounded by agricultural terraces
The massive stone that is used to construct the building is nicely sculpted and fitted together without using motar
And yet you cant even insert a thin knife blade into the gap in between the joint
( it sounds something like the pyramid in Egypt but this place is nicer compared to the desert :P)

Yeah, there is this Intihuatana stone ( meaning Hitching Post of the Sun)
which is designed to hitch the sun at the two equinoxes
At the midday on March 21st and September 21st,
the sun stands almost directly above the pillar creating no shadow at all

According to Shamanic legends
When sensitive person touch their forehead to the stone
the Intihuatana opens one's vision to the spirit world
